Rohde & Schwarz has introduced two new EMI test receivers, the R&S EPL1001 and R&S EPL1007, at the EMV 2025 event in Stuttgart. These innovative devices are designed to offer engineers a flexible and cost-effective solution for electromagnetic interference measurements, ensuring compliance with the latest standards.

The R&S EPL1001 and R&S EPL1007 are built to meet a wide range of electromagnetic compatibility measurement requirements. Engineers can start with a basic model that fits their current needs and budget, and as their requirements grow, the devices can be easily upgraded with advanced features. This flexibility supports optimized and secured investments, allowing additional options to be integrated at any time.

Key Features
EMI Bandwidth and Detectors: The basic versions include EMI bandwidth  and detectors, RF input protection, and automatic adaptable attenuation in 1 dB steps to handle strong signals.
Time Domain Scan (TDS): This feature captures entire CISPR bands A or B in a single shot and measures above CISPR band B in 20 MHz steps, saving valuable test time and enhancing intermittent emission detection.
Versatility: Beyond EMI measurements, the receivers offer functions such as an integrated spectrum analyzer and an optional signal generator, reducing the need for extra equipment.
Upgrade Options: Additional features like real-time spectrogram, IF analysis, and 4-channel click rate analysis can be added. Battery and DC power operation allow testing in various environments without being tied to a power outlet.

The R&S EPL1001 and R&S EPL1007 cater to both EMC test engineers and R&D engineers. EMC test engineers require precise, fast, and standard-compliant measurements to ensure devices meet regulatory standards. R&D engineers need detailed signal analyses for troubleshooting and continuous emission monitoring, along with user-friendly interfaces during development.

The new models can be ordered from Q2 2025 on and is shown at EMV 2025 in Stuttgart from March 25 to 27 at booth 615.
