AMD announced the appointment of Ariel Kelman as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately. In this role, Kelman will lead AMD’s global marketing organization, with responsibility for brand, communications, events, developer relations, and go-to-market strategy. Kelman will report to Ruth Cotter, Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, and will collaborate with the AMD executive team to strengthen engagement with customers, partners, developers, and the broader technology ecosystem as the company scales its product and solutions portfolio.
Ruth Cotter stated that Kelman is a proven marketing leader with extensive experience in building brands, driving marketing impact at scale, and linking innovation to customer value. She noted that as AMD expands its portfolio and delivers high-performance and AI solutions across data center, embedded, client, and gaming segments, Kelman’s leadership will support sharper storytelling, advancement of the marketing organization, and acceleration of momentum.
Ariel Kelman brings more than 20 years of experience leading global marketing organizations at major enterprise and technology companies. Most recently, he served as president and CMO at Salesforce, where he led the company’s global marketing organization. Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions at Amazon Web Services and Oracle, contributing to the scaling and modernization of global marketing teams during periods of rapid growth.
Kelman said he is thrilled to join AMD at this point in the company’s development. He expressed his anticipation to work with the team to elevate the AMD brand, deepen relationships with customers and partners, and capitalize on the AI data center opportunity driven by AMD’s differentiated products.
