e-peas presented its AEM15820 power management IC (PMIC) for the first time to the public at CES 2026. The AEM15820 is described as the industry’s first single-chip PMIC capable of managing the full dynamic power range of hybrid indoor-outdoor photovoltaic (PV) cells.

Hybrid PV cells produce power outputs ranging from microwatts under typical indoor lighting conditions to several watts in direct sunlight. Prior designs required multiple PMICs to cover this range, increasing system cost and complexity.

The AEM15820 was launched in December 2025, and CES 2026 marks its public debut. It is designed for use with both batteries and lithium-ion capacitors (LiC), and includes an ultra-low-power cold start capability of 5 µW at 275 mV.

Hybrid PV cells are being integrated into consumer products such as sports or hiking computers and self-charging headphones, with potential applications in PV-charged earbud cases, e-readers, remote security cameras, smart glasses, power banks, and smart-backpack power modules.

Christian Ferrier, CMO of e-peas, stated that hybrid PV cells are appearing in various smart next-generation systems, and a single-chip solution that handles their wide power range in a compact, low-cost, and straightforward manner is essential to realizing their capabilities. He noted that live demonstrations of the AEM15820 at CES will be a key focus for customer and design partner meetings.

CES 2026 took place from January 6 to 9, 2026, in Las Vegas. e-peas exhibited at Venetian Expo Level 2, Booth #50752, where the company  also showcased its broader energy harvester PMIC portfolio and demonstrate solutions for wireless keyboards, asset trackers, and remote controls.
