QuickLogic Corporation announced its participation in the Intel Foundry Chiplet Alliance, part of the Intel Foundry Accelerator Alliance program. The alliance focuses on creating a secure, standards-based chiplet ecosystem for U.S. Military, Aerospace & Government (USMAG) and commercial markets.
The Chiplet Alliance provides members with early access to Intel Foundry’s process and packaging roadmaps, process design kits (PDKs), and training. It also offers participation in multi-project-wafer (MPW) shuttles to reduce prototyping costs and time, and a platform to define interoperable infrastructure using the Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express (UCIe) standard to meet security and reliability requirements.
QuickLogic, a developer of embedded FPGA (eFPGA) Hard IP, ruggedized FPGAs, and FPGA tools, currently provides eFPGA Hard IP on Intel’s 18A process node through its involvement in Intel Foundry’s IP and USMAG Alliance programs. The new membership extends this collaboration to package-level integration, allowing QuickLogic’s reconfigurable logic blocks to interoperate with other alliance members’ die in multi-chip packages.
Brian Faith, CEO of QuickLogic, stated that the alliance membership provides early access to Intel Foundry’s technologies, enabling faster and lower-risk delivery of customizable eFPGA chiplets for aerospace, defense, and commercial applications. For more information, visit www.quicklogic.com.
