Metallium reports positive results for Flash Joule heating across metals

Metallium has reported results from a series of tests demonstrating the application of its proprietary Flash Joule Heating (FJH) technology across multiple strategic metal feedstocks. Testing was carried out on a range of materials and produced notable results across rare earth ores, germanium-bearing industrial waste, spent catalytic converters, and red mud. The tests showed that FJH-based processing can selectively recover, separate, and concentrate valuable materials from complex feedstocks.
 
Michael Walshe, Managing Director and CEO of Metallium, said that while processing electronic waste remains the company's immediate commercial priority, this broader testing program continues to demonstrate the potential for its FJH platform to be applied across a wide range of critical metal and industrial feedstocks, opening up additional markets for commercializing the technology.
 
He added that Metallium continues to work separately with Indium Corporation and other major semiconductor industry suppliers to advance strategic sourcing initiatives for gallium, germanium, indium, and other technology metal-bearing secondary raw materials for future processing, noting that these initiatives complement the additional commercial opportunities identified through the testing programs described here.
