DeepHow has announced a partnership with Noveon Magnetics aimed at speeding up employee onboarding, improving how well operators perform on the job, and helping Noveon expand its production capacity to keep up with growing demand for domestically manufactured rare earth permanent magnets.
Noveon, headquartered in San Marcos, Texas, is currently the only U.S. manufacturer of sintered neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets, a type of powerful permanent magnet used across automotive systems, robotics, industrial motors, energy infrastructure, data storage, and advanced manufacturing.
As the first company to bring rare earth permanent magnet manufacturing back to the U.S. in more than two decades, Noveon is also working to rebuild the specialized workforce this industry requires, creating skilled manufacturing jobs while training a new generation of American workers in the process. Over the past year, the company has grown its workforce fourfold to keep up with rising demand, and as both production and headcount continue to scale, new employees need to quickly become proficient in highly specialized manufacturing processes while still meeting strict standards for safety, quality, and consistency.
Scott Dunn, CEO of Noveon, said safety is a top priority for the company, and that as the team keeps growing, having effective training in place is essential to keeping employees safe and well-informed about safety practices on the production floor. He said DeepHow gives Noveon a scalable way to document how critical tasks should be performed, deliver that knowledge consistently across the workforce, and assess whether employees are ready to support production.
Through DeepHow's knowledge capture and transfer platform, Noveon will get a standardized way to document and pass along operational knowledge, helping speed up how quickly new operators become fully capable on the job. Together, the two companies plan to convert expertise held by experienced workers into structured, searchable, multilingual work instructions paired with AI-enhanced, step-by-step guidance. The platform also supports Noveon's ISO 9001 quality initiatives and gives the company visibility into employee certifications, helps identify gaps in workforce skills, and tracks overall readiness as production continues to scale.
