Lattice Semiconductor has expanded its small FPGA portfolio with new high I/O density options in the Certus-NX and MachXO5-NX FPGA families, targeting applications in AI, industrial, communications, server, and automotive sectors. The new devices offer multiple logic density and I/O options across various packages, designed for low power consumption, compact size, high 3.3V I/O, and security features. Built on the Lattice Nexus platform, they provide up to 2x more I/O per package size and 1.5 Gbps differential I/O for 70% faster data transfer compared to similar FPGAs. They consume up to 4x less power, require no power sequencing, and offer integrated flash for secure configuration and 12x faster boot times. With a 100x lower soft error rate and built-in SEC and ECC for SEU protection, they enhance reliability for safety-critical systems. These devices are now shipping and supported by Lattice Radiant design software.
