Qorvo announced the release of two S-Band switched filter bank (SFB) modules, QPB1034 and QPB1036, designed for defense and aerospace radar systems requiring compact, agile, and efficient performance.

The modules address the need for multi-function radar platforms with fast frequency agility and precise spectral control in smaller form factors. Both integrate bulk acoustic wave (BAW) filters and fast-switching logic in a 6 x 6 mm package. The QPB1034 is tailored for lower S-Band frequencies, while the QPB1036 provides broader frequency coverage and higher channel density with the same switching speed. Both modules include bypass paths and are currently available for sampling.
Dean White, senior director of Defense and Aerospace Market Strategy at Qorvo, stated that the modules allow radar designers to reduce size and complexity while maintaining performance, with BAW technology providing rejection and channel density for agile radar front ends.
Qorvo showcased these modules at the International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2025, held on June 16-20 in San Francisco, CA.
