Littelfuse, expanded its solid-state switching portfolio with the SCD and SCP Series solid-state contactors. The devices are intended for single- and three-phase heating and motor control applications and are available in DIN rail and panel mount models.
The SCD and SCP Series solid-state contactors eliminate mechanical wear and use zero-cross switching technology to minimize electrical noise and voltage transients. Their integrated design is intended to simplify installation and support compliance with global safety standards.
The expanded offering includes eight configurations plus accessories:
- SCD1-NR Series: One-pole switching, high endurance DIN-rail mount
- SCD1-CE Series: One-pole switching, essential DIN-rail mount
- SCP1-CE Series: One-pole switching, essential panel mount
- SCD2-CE Series: Two-pole switching, classic DIN-rail mount
- SCP2-CE Series: Two-pole switching, classic panel mount
- SCD3-CC Series: Three-pole switching, classic DIN-rail mount
- SCP3-CC Series: Three-pole switching, classic panel mount
- SCP3-CC…R Series: Reverser, panel mount

Typical applications include industrial ovens for reflow/wave soldering, drying, curing, tempering and environmental test chambers; industrial packaging equipment such as shrink tunnels, filling and sealing machines; and industrial plastic processing equipment including injection molding, thermoforming and extrusion.
The contactors expand the existing Littelfuse portfolio of panel mount, DIN-rail mount, PCB-mount and HVAC solid-state switching solutions.
