[00:00:11] Sri: Hi, welcome to EE Herald's This Week's Silicon Bridge podcast: India's Race to Bridge the Missing Middle. It's me, Srinivas editor-in-chief of EE Herald, joined my colleague Kubra, co-editor at EE Herald . Our first topic is the macro shift. Welcome to the US dollar 1.5 trillion club
[00:00:33] Kubra: Hey, everyone.
[00:00:34] Kubra: If you have been tracking technology at all over the last few years, you know the word boom doesn't even begin to cover what's happening in hardware right now. But the sheer volume of data we have processed this week is mind-boggling.
[00:00:51] Sri: It really is. Let's start with the absolute blockbuster numbers coming from the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics, [00:01:00] WSTS, and the Semiconductor Industry Association, two leading semiconductor bodies in the world.
[00:01:06] Sri: The global semiconductor market isn't just growing, it's exploding. WSTS has officially revised its forecast, projecting the global market to hit US dollar one point five one trillion by the end of this year, twenty twenty-six.
