Qualcomm Technologies, today announced the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 Mobile Platforms. Both platforms introduce Snapdragon Smooth Motion UI for improved device interactions. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 delivers 20% faster app launches and 18% less screen stutter, while the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 offers 43% faster app launches and 25% less screen stutter.
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 features AI-powered camera capabilities, up to 21% better GPU performance, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, ultra-fast 5G and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and improved power efficiency.
The Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 brings up to 77% improved GPU performance and introduces 90FPS gameplay to the Snapdragon 4 series for the first time. It also supports Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA) 5G + 5G/4G connectivity and focuses on dependable battery life.

The platforms are scheduled to power commercial devices in the second half of 2026. Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 will be featured in upcoming devices from Honor and REDMI. Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 will appear in devices from OPPO, realme, and REDMI.
