Movandi announced a 60GHz connectivity platform powered by its MV6055 60GHz transceiver for physical AI, fixed wireless access (FWA) and network backhaul. The platform supports peak data rates exceeding 5Gbps and line-of-sight deployments beyond one kilometer.
As physical AI expands into robots, drones and autonomous systems, cameras and sensors generate data that must be processed with low latency. Processing everything locally increases power, cost and system complexity, while sending everything to the cloud adds latency. Movandi says a hybrid architecture requires multi-gigabit wireless connectivity between intelligent devices and nearby edge infrastructure.
The platform supports selective offloading of compute-intensive AI workloads to nearby edge AI processing and cloud services, while keeping safety-critical control, immediate decisions and essential computing onboard. For FWA, it is designed to provide multi-gigabit broadband where fiber deployment is costly or impractical. For network backhaul, it provides high-capacity wireless links between access, edge and core infrastructure where wired connections are impractical.
The platform architecture also provides a path toward future integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) capabilities, allowing wireless nodes to support high-speed connectivity and environmental sensing simultaneously. Movandi says this could enable intelligent machines to detect, track and map their surroundings while exchanging sensing data with edge and cloud AI systems.

The same semiconductor platform can be configured for different markets by combining silicon with antenna configurations and system design. Its modular architecture is built on Movandi's expertise in millimeter-wave semiconductors, beamforming and wireless system integration. Key platform capabilities include 5Gbps+ peak data rates; 1km+ link support for line-of-sight deployments; 57–70GHz band coverage; MIMO support; low-power transmit and receive operation; application-specific antenna configurations and system software; and a modular, scalable architecture supporting multiple range, performance and cost configurations.
Maryam Rofougaran, CEO and co-founder of Movandi, said: “Physical AI is transforming what wireless connectivity must deliver. Intelligent robots, drones and autonomous systems need high-bandwidth, low-latency connection to nearby Edge AI processing complementing their onboard computing and processing capabilities. Our 60GHz platform connects intelligent machines to edge AI infrastructure while also addressing multi-gigabit fixed wireless and network backhaul.”
