The agreement focuses on combining Pairpoint SECURE  a post-quantum cybersecurity solution that provides certificate-free encrypted communications with Lantronix edge hardware. The targeted devices include the NTC-222, NTC-502, G520, E210, and FOX4 industrial IoT routers and gateways.

Pairpoint SECURE anchors trust in the SIM card to deliver always-on end-to-end encryption designed to resist current cyberattacks and future quantum computing threats. The solution targets long-lifecycle IoT deployments in sectors such as energy and utilities, transport, smart cities, and industrial automation, where devices often operate for many years with limited security updates and serve as potential entry points to critical infrastructure.

Ken Uesugi, CEO of Pairpoint, stated that industrial IoT routers function as the nervous system of critical infrastructure and that Pairpoint SECURE offers a practical approach to post-quantum protection deployable on existing hardware without requiring network replacement.

Mathi Gurusamy, Chief Product & Strategy Officer at Lantronix, noted that customers rely on the company’s routers and gateways to maintain essential services in challenging environments, and the collaboration with Pairpoint aims to test post-quantum security to ensure trusted connectivity throughout the device lifecycle.
