Vishay Intertechnology, introduced the CRCW0201-AT e3 series of AEC-Q200 qualified thick film chip resistors in the 0201 case size. The devices measure 0.6 mm by 0.3 mm by 0.23 mm, providing a miniature footprint. They target automotive, industrial, and telecommunications applications as a space-saving option. Compared to 0402 case size resistors, the CRCW0201-AT e3 series reduces PCB space requirements by 50% while maintaining a competitive price. This supports size reduction trends in electronics with stable electrical performance and high reliability.
The resistors have a power rating of 0.05 W at +70 °C and an operating voltage of 30 V. They function over a temperature range of -55 °C to +155 °C. Resistance values range from 10 Ω to 1 MΩ (including 0 Ω jumper), with tolerances of ±1% and ±5%, and a temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of ±200 ppm/K.
The RoHS-compliant and halogen-free components include a protective coating for electrical, mechanical, and climatic protection. They feature pure matte tin plating compatible with lead (Pb)-free and lead-containing soldering processes, and support automatic soldering via reflow or vapor phase.
