Siemens Digital Industries Software announced updates to its Simcenter Testlab software, incorporating AI-assisted workflows and automation to streamline physical testing processes. The updates enable faster modal analysis, automated data processing, and compliance with industry standards.

The AI-assisted modal testing feature accelerates modal analysis by up to 700% through automated mode selection, validation, and a unified dashboard. Intelligent sensor placement and automated hit selection simplify impact acquisition, reducing the process to a one-person task. Transfer Path Analysis (TPA) now includes automation features that reduce analysis time by 40%, supporting noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) predictions for users with varying expertise.

Simcenter Testlab introduces an ISO 20270-compliant automated component model extraction solution, using the Simcenter Testlab Automated Component Model Extractor software and physical testing hardware to measure blocked forces and impedance FRFs, cutting component characterization time from weeks to hours. The Schedule Designer feature automates data processing and validation with predefined sequences, ensuring data traceability and minimizing incomplete or inconsistent data risks.

The update integrates test plans from the Schedule Designer with the Simcenter™ SCADAS RS data acquisition system Recorder App, providing wireless tablet-based instructions, immediate data validation, and processing to reduce errors. Simcenter SCADAS RS supports expanded channel counts when combined with Simcenter SCADAS Recorder, Mobile, and Lab systems and allows data export in universal or third-party formats for compatibility with other software platforms.
