Elliptic Labs, an AI software company focused on AI Virtual Smart Sensors, and Intel have entered a long-term partnership to integrate AI features into Intel’s next-generation laptops. The collaboration enables laptops to detect user presence and support automatic device connectivity and sharing.
The features, already implemented in the market, utilize Elliptic Labs’ AI Virtual Smart Sensor software on Intel’s AI chips. The software is designed to operate efficiently with minimal battery impact.
Laila Danielsen, CEO of Elliptic Labs, stated that the collaboration with Intel, adopted by major PC manufacturers, allows laptops to sense user presence, anticipate needs, and respond in real time. Ken McKee, VP of Customer Engineering at Intel, noted that the partnership delivers on-device AI capabilities, enabling laptops to adapt and respond, shifting from passive computing to active user collaboration.
