Amtech Systems, a manufacturer of equipment and consumables enabling AI semiconductor device packaging and advanced substrate fabrication, today announced the appointment of Guy Shechter as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective May 19, 2026. Mr. Shechter will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

His extensive industry experience, customer relationships and leadership skills will be critical as we capitalize on our leadership position in AI semiconductor device packaging and assembly applications and expand our portfolio of solutions to accelerate growth.”
Mr. Shechter previously held leadership positions at Yield Engineering Systems from 2021 to 2026, most recently serving as Senior Vice President & General Manager. Before that, he held various leadership roles at Veeco Instruments from 2007 to 2020, including Vice President & General Manager, Global Services Solutions. Mr. Shechter received an MBA and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
