Marvell Technology announced the appointment of Rajiv Ramaswami, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nutanix, to its Board of Directors, effective July 22, 2025.
Ramaswami brings over 30 years of experience in software, cloud services, network infrastructure, and semiconductors. He has served as Nutanix’s President and CEO since December 2020. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer of Products and Cloud Services at VMware from October 2016 to December 2020 and led VMware’s Networking and Security business as Executive Vice President and General Manager from April 2016 to October 2016. Ramaswami also held senior leadership roles at Broadcom, where he was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Infrastructure and Networking from February 2010 to January 2016, and at Cisco, Nortel, Tellabs, and IBM. He served on the board of NeoPhotonics Corporation from March 2014 to August 2022.
Ramaswami holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He is an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Fellow and holds 36 patents, primarily in optical networking.
