The Connectivity Standards Alliance, an organization with over 800 members focused on developing IoT technology standards, has added Bosch as a Promoter Member to its Board of Directors. Bosch’s new role aims to support the Alliance’s mission of advancing standardized interoperability in the IoT landscape.
As a Promoter Member, Bosch will contribute to refining Alliance tools and processes to enhance member utility and drive progress toward improved SDK modularity for better integration with complex devices. These efforts are intended to increase adoption of the Matter standard across a broader range of products. Bosch is represented on the Board by Thomas Hartwig, IoT Architect at Bosch Home Comfort, as Primary Board Director, and Eelco Lammertink, Global Strategic Project Lead at BSH, as Alternate.
Tobin Richardson, Alliance President and CEO, noted that Bosch’s experience in deploying products at scale and focus on connectivity aligns with the Alliance’s goals. Musa Unmehopa, Chair of the Alliance Board, stated that Bosch’s industry experience will support the development of scalable interoperability solutions. Hartwig emphasized Bosch’s commitment to collaboration, highlighting the company’s experience in developing and shipping millions of connected devices and its focus on practical solutions for energy management and ecosystem support to ensure the Matter standard meets the needs of sophisticated appliances and systems.
The Alliance, established in 2002, collaborates with its global membership to create open IoT standards. Its Board of Directors includes executives from companies such as Allegion, Amazon, Apple, ASSA ABLOY, Comcast, Espressif, Eve by ABB, Fortune Brands, Google, Haier, Huawei, IKEA, Infineon Technologies AG, LEEDARSON, Legrand, LG Electronics, Lutron Electronics, Midea, Nordic Semiconductor, NXP Semiconductors, OPPO, Resideo Technologies, Samsung Electronics, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Signify, Silicon Labs, Somfy, STMicroelectronics, Tuya, and Verizon.
