Lantronix appoints Sailesh Chittipeddi to Board of Directors

Lantronix appointed Sailesh Chittipeddi, Ph.D., as an independent director to its Board of Directors, effective May 6, 2025. With this addition, the Lantronix Board consists of five directors, four of whom are independent under Nasdaq Stock Market listing standards.
Hoshi Printer, chairman of the Board at Lantronix, noted Chittipeddi’s expertise in Industrial, IoT, and Infrastructure businesses, as well as his experience in global operations, procurement, and supply chains. Chittipeddi currently serves as a Venture Partner at Novo Tellus Capital Partners in Singapore and as a Board Member at Tessolve in India. He previously held the role of executive vice president of Global Operations at Renesas Electronics, managing internal and external manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and related development functions.
Saleel Awsare, CEO and president of Lantronix, highlighted Chittipeddi’s technology and industry experience, including his roles on boards of global companies and his expertise in manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and global supply chain strategy. At Renesas, Chittipeddi also served as executive vice president of the Industrial, IoT, and Infrastructure Business Unit, where he increased the unit’s revenue to over $7 billion USD. This unit encompassed microcontroller, power, and analog-mixed signal businesses from acquired companies, including IDT, ISL, and DLG. He joined Renesas in 2019 following its acquisition of IDT, where he served as president of Renesas Electronics America and CEO of the acquired IDT Division.
Prior to Renesas and IDT, Chittipeddi held senior roles at Conexant Systems, where he was CEO and president, as well as at AT&T Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, and Agere Systems. He has served on boards including Sequans Communications (NYSE:SQNS), Tessolve (India), Avalanche Technologies (India), Steradian (India), Blu Wireless Technology (U.K.), and Peraso (Canada).
Chittipeddi holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. in Physics from The Ohio State University. He has 83 U.S. patents in semiconductor processes, packaging, and design and has published over 40 technical articles.
