Valeo has begun production with ZEEHO of its Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS), including a vision-and-radar-fused Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system for next-generation electric motorcycles. The ARAS entered production in September 2026, and Valeo describes the fused ACC as a world-first.
The company says motorcycle dynamics bring challenges including spatial constraints, lean angles, dynamic balance and direct human-machine interactions, which require precise algorithms and rugged hardware. It also points to the growth of mixed traffic and urban density, with two-wheeler riders among the most vulnerable road users.

Developed completely in China, the system combines a Valeo radar and front camera with a central ARAS electronic control unit (ECU) and a software suite. Valeo says the sensors provide object detection, range measuring and environmental mapping under all riding conditions. The software processes real-time sensor data to compute risk trajectories, filter false positives and deliver alerts to the rider.
The system supports Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Lead Vehicle Departure Notification (LVDN), Rear Collision Warning (RCW) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
Marc Vrecko, chief executive officer of Valeo Brain Division, said: “By combining our hardware and our embedded software stack, Valeo creates a seamless 360-degree safety envelope tailored to motorcycle dynamics. Reaching Start of Production with ZEEHO is a clear testament to Valeo’s ability to take advanced active safety out of the lab and put it directly onto the street.”
Valeo is showcasing its ARAS solutions at the EICMA show in Milan from November 3-8, 2026. More information is available at https://www.valeo.com/en/valeo-revolutionizes-two-wheeler-safety-with-world-first-vision-radar-fused-adaptive-cruise-control-for-zeeho/.
