ROHM has started online sales of its new SiC molded modules: TRCDRIVE pack, HSDIP20, and DOT-247. These products are available for purchase from online distributors including DigiKey and Farnell.
The modules use silicon carbide (SiC) to support high-efficiency power conversion amid concerns over global power supply constraints and the need for energy conservation. They aim to expand SiC adoption across various applications.

Sample pricing (tax excluded) includes:
TRCDRIVE pack: $650.0/unit (1200V A type Small, part number BST400D12P4A101)
HSDIP20: $180.0/unit (examples include 750V 4-in-1 BST91B1P4K01, 750V 6-in-1 BST91T1P4K01 and BST47T1P4K01, 1200V 4-in-1 BST70B2P4K01)
DOT-247: $100.0/unit (1200V Half Bridge, part number SCZ4011KTA)
Additional part numbers will become available sequentially.
TRCDRIVE pack
This is a 2-in-1 SiC molded module designed for traction inverters in electric vehicles (xEV) up to 300 kW. It incorporates ROHM’s 4th Generation SiC MOSFETs with low ON resistance, achieving power density 1.5 times higher than general SiC molded modules to support inverter miniaturization in xEVs. The terminal layout allows gate driver board connection by pushing from the top, reducing installation time.
Application example: Automotive equipment xEV traction inverters.

HSDIP20
This SiC module is available in 4-in-1 and 6-in-1 configurations, suited for xEV onboard chargers (OBC), EV charging stations, server power supplies, AC servos, and similar uses. The lineup includes six 750V models and seven 1200V models. It integrates basic circuits for power conversion into a compact package, reducing design workload and enabling miniaturization of power conversion circuits.
Application examples: Automotive OBC, DC-DC converters, electric compressors; Industrial EV charging stations, V2X systems, AC servos, server power supplies, PV inverters, power conditioners.

DOT-247
This 2-in-1 SiC module targets industrial applications such as PV inverters and UPS systems. It maintains the versatility of the TO-247 package while providing high power density. It supports half-bridge and common-source topologies for various circuit configurations. Adoption in circuits with multiple discrete components reduces component count and mounting area, aiding miniaturization and design effort reduction.
Application examples: Automotive ePTO, boost converters for FCVs; Industrial PV inverters, UPS, AI servers/data centers, EV charging stations, semiconductor relays, eFuse.
