InPlay has announced the upcoming release of its second-generation NanoBeacon SoC, the IN120, designed for high-volume smart label applications. The IN120 requires only one external component, a 26MHz crystal, and is delivered in a bumped wafer Known Good Die (KGD) format, compatible with existing roll-to-roll RFID inlay manufacturing processes.

The IN120 features an integrated temperature sensor with ±1°C accuracy, eliminating the need for external temperature sensing components in applications such as cold chain monitoring and logistics. It supports a voltage range of 1.1V to 3.6V, enabling compatibility with various battery types, including 1.5V printable batteries. InPlay offers preprogramming services for the IN120 to streamline manufacturing and reduce production setup times.
The IN120 is intended for use in logistics, pharmaceuticals, and disposable asset tracking. Sampling is scheduled to begin in Q1 2026, with mass production planned shortly thereafter. For more information, visit www.inplay-tech.com
