pSemi, a Murata Company, announced two new power products at APEC 2026 in San Antonio: the PE26100 multi-level buck converter and the PE25304 advanced integrated charge pump switching-capacitor power module.
The PE26100 is a multi-level buck converter optimized for main direct battery charging in next-generation smartphones, tablets, and compact mobile devices. It supports fast-charging capability with high output current up to 6A and operates in an ultra-thin form factor. The device accepts input voltages from 4.5V to 18.5V and features 4-level buck mode for higher USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) voltage inputs and 3-level buck mode for mid-to-low input voltages. When used with USB Programmable Power Supply (PPS), it can also function as a fixed-ratio capacitor-divider charge pump with 2:1 and 3:1 divider ratios depending on the programmed input voltage.
The PE25304 is an advanced integrated charge pump switching-capacitor power module designed for 48V input architectures with a wide operating range from 20V to 60V. It divides input voltage by four and delivers up to 72W of output power in an ultra-low-profile 2mm package. The module achieves 97% conversion efficiency and is targeted at dexterous hand robotics, mechatronic systems, drones, medical devices, embedded AI modules, industrial automation systems, and other high-voltage step-down applications where size and thermal performance are critical.
In addition to these two products, pSemi showcased the following solutions at APEC 2026:
- Two-stage buck regulators for powering optical transceivers and sub-10nm low output voltage core applications. These are suitable for low-profile (~1.2mm) designs allowing under-side PCB placement to reduce board area and power losses. The PE24111 supports 3.3V input and can deliver 20A output to voltages in the 0.35V–0.85V range.
- Ultra-high efficiency switching capacitor charge pump divider products for intermediate bus power conversion. The PE25213 supports divide-by-two and divide-by-three ratios at 10A output current with efficiencies up to 99%. These products are designed to improve overall system efficiency and extend battery life.
- Two-stage boost LED drivers consisting of a charge pump followed by a boost regulator and LED drivers in a single package. The PE23108 is an 8-channel driver intended for high-efficiency, low-profile panel displays.
The new products address power challenges in low-profile, high-energy-density applications, including mobile battery charging and emerging robotics.
