Valeo and ZEborne announced the integration of the Autocharge function on Ineez Pro Smart charging stations. The Autocharge feature enables transparent user identification, where plugging in the vehicle starts the charging session automatically without requiring a mobile app or badge.
This addresses four challenges for fleet managers and co-owners:
Seamless user experience with no need for apps or badges
Operational efficiency by eliminating interventions for lost or forgotten badges
Enhanced security through secure vehicle identification, reducing fraud risk
Transparent management of multiple usage contracts, whether personal or professional
The innovation targets private fleets and co-ownerships and is described as a first in France. It will be officially presented at the Flotauto trade show on March 12 at the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre (ZEborne Stand C77 at 11:30 a.m.).
The solution aligns with the European AFIR regulation, which requires ISO 15118-2 for Plug & Charge on public charging stations from January 2026. The Autocharge feature uses similar automatic identification principles based on secure digital communication between the vehicle and charging station for instant authentication, charging initiation, and billing without manual intervention.
This harmonizes private and public charging experiences, providing service continuity for users charging at motorway service stations, workplaces, or apartment building car parks.
ZEborne, a Valeo partner since 2023, has integrated the Autocharge function available on Ineez Pro Smart charging stations—into its ZMS charging station fleet supervision and management solution. The ecosystem is currently rolling out at ZEborne sites and among its employees.

The secure vehicle identification uses EVCCID (Electric Vehicle Communication Controller ID).
