Global Semiconductor Sales Hit $298.5 Billion in Q1 2026, Up 25% from Q4 2025

The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reported that worldwide semiconductor sales totaled $298.5 billion in the first quarter of 2026, reflecting a 25% increase from the fourth quarter of 2025.

March 2026 sales reached $99.5 billion, according to data compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) organization using a three-month moving average. This figure represents a 79.2% rise from $55.5 billion in March 2025 and an 11.5% increase from February 2026.

SIA president and CEO John Neuffer stated: “Global chip sales remain on track to reach $1 trillion in 2026, with Q1 sales significantly exceeding sales in Q4 2025. Strong sales across the Asia Pacific region, the Americas, and China drove global semiconductor market growth, highlighting broad and robust demand for semiconductors and the countless tech products they enable.”

Regional year-to-year changes for March showed increases in Asia Pacific/All Other (108.5%), the Americas (83.1%), China (74.8%), Europe (46.5%), and Japan (7.4%). Month-to-month changes in March rose in the Americas (13.3%), China (12.7%), Asia Pacific/All Other (9.8%), Europe (8.4%), and Japan (7.1%).
