MountAIn SAS, a 2026 CES Innovation Award honoree, has announced a strategic partnership with Alif Semiconductor to deliver a computer vision stack optimized for Alif's ultra-low-power Ensemble and Balletto processors.

The partnership follows MountAIn's 2026 CES Innovation Award and focuses on enabling deployment of high-precision AI models on Alif's hardware. This approach eliminates the need for power-hungry chipsets while supporting operation within a strict 100 mW power envelope. Python developers can deploy models with development time reduced from 12 months to minutes and achieve a 3x reduction in memory usage for computer vision models.

MountAIn's proprietary AI Booster middleware serves as a bridge that orchestrates Alif's internal processors. It maximizes frames per second (FPS) and compresses memory usage by 3x, addressing the previous trade-off between expensive, power-hungry microprocessors (MPUs) for complex vision AI and limited performance on cost-effective microcontrollers (MCUs).

The combined solution targets mass markets including smart cameras, smart glasses, smart factories, health tech, and smart home appliances. It provides MPU-level performance at MCU economics, delivering cloud-equivalent model resolution and accuracy on battery-powered edge devices.

Vincent Huard, CEO of MountAIn, stated: "The Edge AI industry has been forced to choose between expensive, power-hungry MPUs and cost-efficient MCUs. We believe that 'Embedded AI' shouldn't require a PhD in firmware optimization."

Reza Kazerounian, President and Co-Founder of Alif Semiconductor, added: "To truly democratize Edge AI and scale it across billions of smart devices, developers need hardware that delivers extreme efficiency without sacrificing capability. By pairing MountAIn's 1-click software infrastructure with the native power of our Ensemble and Balletto processor families, we are giving the market exactly that."

The solution includes a single-click compiler for Python-centric AI specialists to deploy models directly to Alif MCUs. MountAIn and Alif Semiconductor will exhibit at the Embedded Vision Summit in Santa Clara from May 11-13, 2026.
