S Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), inaugurated PRITVI-ACE (Platform for Reconfigurable Integrated Testing and Validation of IPs - Advanced Chip Evaluation) at C-DAC Bengaluru. The event was attended by Smt. Sunita Verma, Scientist G & Group Coordinator, MeitY; Shri Magesh E., Director General, C-DAC; Dr. S D Sudarsan, Executive Director, C-DAC Bengaluru; other C-DAC leadership members; and industry representatives.
Established under the National Semiconductor Mission (NSM) and India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), PRITVI-ACE is a national pre-silicon FPGA-based prototyping and validation facility developed to address the increasing complexity of modern VLSI systems.
The platform has a scalable capacity of up to 2.4 billion ASIC gate equivalents, making it India’s largest FPGA-based prototyping installation. It enables near-silicon-speed validation before fabrication.
PRITVI-ACE supports end-to-end chip validation, covering individual IPs to full System-on-Chips (SoCs), including multi-core CPUs, GPUs, AI accelerators, high-speed interconnects, and chiplet-based architectures. It allows early OS boot, firmware and driver validation, and realistic performance evaluation within a data-centre-class, multi-user national infrastructure.
As a shared national asset, PRITVI-ACE is intended to support indigenous chip development, increase first-silicon success rates, reduce design cycles, and aid India’s shift toward a product-driven semiconductor ecosystem.
