India PC Market Hits Record 4.9 Million Units in Q3 2025 with 13% YoY Growth as Consumer Demand Surges Ahead of Festive Season

According to the latest Omdia research, India’s PC market (desktops and notebooks, excluding tablets) recorded its highest-ever quarterly performance in Q3 2025, with total shipments reaching 4.9 million units, reflecting 13% year-on-year growth.

Notebook shipments rose 12% to 4.0 million units, while desktop shipments increased 18% to 920,000 units. Vendors accelerated shipments in anticipation of the festive season and maintained stable supply for commercial clients.

In contrast, India’s tablet market contracted 19% year on year to 1.6 million units in Q3 2025, primarily due to significant delays in government-led education deployments, despite stable consumer demand.

Consumer PC shipments grew 20% year on year, driven by early inventory build-up ahead of the festive season, strong online sales events on major e-commerce platforms, subsequent retail demand, coordinated discounts, and cashback offers. Premium notebook shipments increased 27%, supported by wider availability of higher-specification models and cashback schemes.
