GlobalFoundries announced that Chief Financial Officer John Hollister is leaving the company effective immediately for personal reasons. Sam Franklin, Senior Vice President of Business Finance, Operations and Investor Relations, will serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer during the search for a permanent replacement.
Tim Breen, CEO of GlobalFoundries, stated that the company appreciates Hollister’s contributions and wishes him the best. Breen expressed confidence in Franklin’s ability to handle the interim role due to his experience and knowledge of the company’s business, strategy and financial operations, which will support a smooth transition. GlobalFoundries remains focused on its strategic priorities and delivering long-term value to customers across end markets.
The company’s third quarter 2025 results are expected to fall within or above the previously announced guidance ranges. GlobalFoundries will host its conference call to review these financial results on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. ET. Registration for the call is available online.
Sam Franklin has over 18 years of experience in corporate finance, investment management and investment banking. He joined GlobalFoundries in 2022. In his Senior Vice President roles, Franklin’s responsibilities have included Finance Operations, Business Finance, Investor Relations, Capital Markets and Treasury. Prior to GlobalFoundries, he served as a Senior Vice President at Mubadala Investment Company, where he handled financial responsibilities for the Direct Investments group.
