AI-Driven Logic and Memory Demand Boosts Global Semiconductor Equipment Billings 24% in Q2 2025

SEMI announced in its Worldwide Semiconductor Equipment Market Statistics (WWSEMS) Report that global semiconductor equipment billings reached US$33.07 billion in Q2 2025, reflecting a 24% year-over-year increase and a 3% quarter-over-quarter rise. The growth was driven by demand for advanced logic, high-bandwidth memory (HBM)-related DRAM applications, and increased shipments to Asia.

The report, compiled from data provided by SEMI and the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ), noted that the global semiconductor equipment market recorded over US$65 billion in revenue in the first half of 2025, following a record US$117 billion in 2024. Investments in production capacity to support advanced logic and memory technologies for AI applications, along with efforts to strengthen regional supply chain resilience, contributed to the sustained market momentum.

The SEMI Equipment Market Data Subscription (EMDS) includes the Monthly SEMI Billings Report, the Monthly WWSEMS Report covering seven regions and 24 market segments, and the SEMI Semiconductor Equipment Forecast, providing a compre...
