Global Server Market Projected to Reach $366 Billion in 2025, Reports IDC
International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Server Tracker reports that the server market reached $95.2 billion in market value in Q1 2025, reflecting a 134.1% increase compared to Q1 2024. This performance has led IDC to project a 2025 market value of $366.0 billion, a 44.6% growth from 2024.
The x86 server market is expected to grow 39.9% to $283.9 billion, while non-x86 servers are projected to increase 63.7% to $82.0 billion. Servers with embedded GPUs are forecasted to grow 46.7% year-over-year, accounting for nearly 50% of the total market value. ARM-based servers, driven by large rackscale configurations, are projected to grow 70.0%, representing 21.1% of total shipments.
The United States leads regional growth with a 59.7% increase, contributing 62% of total revenue. China follows with 39.5% growth, accounting for over 21% of quarterly revenue. Japan and APeJC are projected to see 33.9% and 10.8% growth, respectively, while EMEA and Latin America show 7.0% and 0.7% growth. Canada is expected to decline by 9.6% due to a large deal in 2024.
