India’s PC Market to Grow 6% in 2025, Fueled by AI and Tier-Two, Tier-Three City Demand
On June 23, 2025, Canalys, now part of Omdia, reported that India’s PC market (excluding tablets) grew 13% year-on-year in Q1 2025, with shipments reaching 3.3 million units. Notebook shipments increased 21% to 2.4 million units, while desktop shipments fell 3% to 906,000 units. Tablet shipments declined 24% to 1.0 million units. The overall PC market is projected to grow 6% in 2025, exceeding 15 million units, while tablet shipments are expected to decrease by 8%. Growth is anticipated to accelerate in 2026 due to refresh cycles and AI readiness requirements.
