On June 9, 2025, Aquatech, a Canonsburg, Pennsylvania-based company, announced the acquisition of Singapore-based Century Water, a provider of ultrapure process water and wastewater recycling solutions for the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Century Water will serve as Aquatech’s center of excellence for high-tech industries, focusing on delivering high-purity water technology, digital services, and operations and maintenance (O&M) support to the global semiconductor industry. The acquisition includes several O&M and build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) contracts and establishes a strategic base in Singapore, a hub for innovation and water technology, to engage with East and Southeast Asian industrial water customers.
Devesh Sharma, CEO of Aquatech, stated that Century Water’s team of microelectronics water specialists will support Aquatech’s semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing customers. Michael Lesniak, VP of High Technology Markets at Aquatech, noted that both companies share a focus on in-house research and development, addressing process, component, and operational needs with water purification and recycling solutions. Eugene Liu, CEO of Century Water, said the partnership with Aquatech will drive Century Water’s growth and expand pure water treatment, recycling services, and zero liquid discharge solutions globally.
