Nokia announced a partnership with Leonardo, a company specializing in aerospace, defense, and security, to integrate Leonardo’s Mission Critical Services platform (MC_linX) into Nokia’s Core Enterprise Solutions. The collaboration aims to provide mission-critical private wireless networks for public safety, power utilities, and railways globally.
The integrated solution combines Nokia’s private wireless and core software with Leonardo’s MC_linX platform to support real-time communication, emergency response, and situational awareness. The pre-integrated system is designed to accelerate deployment, reduce complexity, and ensure operational readiness for critical infrastructure sectors.
MC_linX, compliant with 3GPP standards, supports mission-critical push-to-talk, video, and data services over private and commercial LTE/5G networks. Nokia’s Core Enterprise Solutions include customized, low-footprint core modules tailored for public safety, utilities, and railway operations.
Prakash Sagadopan, Head of Enterprise Wide Area Networks at Nokia, stated that the partnership delivers a solution meeting the demands of industries requiring secure and resilient communication. Leonardo noted that MC_linX was selected after a competitive process, and the collaboration with Nokia provides a scalable and reliable communication ecosystem developed in Europe for public safety and critical infrastructures.
