CyberLink partners with AMD to expand on-device Generative AI access

CyberLink announced a collaboration with AMD to enhance AI accessibility. The partnership integrates CyberLink’s software with AMD Ryzen™ AI processors to support on-device generative AI for a wider user base.  


CyberLink’s video editing software, PowerDirector, utilizes the neural processing unit (NPU) in AMD’s next-generation AI PCs for tasks like rendering AI Body Effects. This allows the GPU and CPU to handle other editing functions, such as additional effects, color correction, and audio enhancements.  
The collaboration also supports Promeo, CyberLink’s creative studio for online selling and marketing. Promeo’s AI Magic Designer and AI Cowriter, when available on-device via AMD Ryzen, will enable users to generate marketing content, including images, text, and templates, from text prompts.  
In 2024, CyberLink’s FaceMe facial recognition technology received ISO 27001 certification for information security. FaceMe offers 99.83% accuracy, ranking highly in NIST’s 1:1 and 1:N benchmarks. It provides 100% anti-spoofing protection against 2D and 3D fraud attacks, based on iBeta Level 2 compliance testing.
