Murata owned pSemi files patent infringement lawsuit against Cirrus Logic and Lion Semiconductor. pSemi, a high-performance RF, analog and mixed signal semiconductor chip vendor said the case involves three patents owned by pSemi: U.S. Patent No. 12,113,438, U.S. Patent No. 12,143,010, and U.S. Patent No. 12,212,232. pSemi’s lawsuit accuses Cirrus Logic and Lion Semiconductor of directly infringing, as well as inducing others to infringe, the three pSemi patents.
The asserted pSemi patents relate to integrated circuits and electronics for power conversion using innovative charge pump, or switched capacitor circuit, technology. Power converters are core components for modern consumer electronics, including mobile devices.
Through its filing with the United States federal court, pSemi seeks to prevent any further infringement of pSemi’s patents, as well as requests monetary damages from Cirrus Logic and Lion Semiconductor for alleged past and ongoing infringement.
