proteanTecs, a provider of health and performance management solutions for advanced electronics, and Global Unichip Corporation (GUC), a provider of advanced ASIC and IP services, have announced an expansion of their strategic collaboration. As part of this expanded partnership, GUC will offer proteanTecs' health and performance monitoring solutions to its ASIC customers, giving them broad access to in-mission power reduction, performance optimization, and improved reliability for advanced system-on-chip (SoC) designs. The collaboration is designed to reduce time-to-market and provide seamless integration through a tested, pre-validated solution.
Building on years of successful collaboration around monitoring solutions for high-bandwidth die-to-die interconnects, high-bandwidth memory (HBM) subsystems, and advanced packaging, the two companies are now broadening deployment of proteanTecs' technology into the compute fabric itself, meaning the core processing logic of a chip. By embedding proteanTecs' hardware monitoring system directly into GUC's custom chip designs, GUC's customers stand to benefit from real-time optimization of power, performance, and reliability, along with rich telemetry data supporting better quality control, advanced diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and fleet management once devices are deployed in the field.
The expanded collaboration responds to growing industry demand for tighter guard-bands, meaning smaller safety margins built into a chip's operating specifications, along with lower power consumption and greater resilience, across applications spanning data centers, networking, automotive, AI infrastructure, and physical AI. Together, proteanTecs and GUC describe their combined offering as providing a comprehensive monitoring foundation supporting advanced compute designs from initial silicon bring-up through full production and into real-world field deployment.
Igor Elkanovich, CTO at GUC, said advanced compute designs are pushing the limits of process technology, packaging, and system integration, and that customers need better predictability to have greater confidence in how their silicon behaves in real systems. He said expanding the collaboration with proteanTecs gives GUC's customers a powerful capability to control and optimize long-term performance through runtime monitoring.
Ziv Paz, vice president of business development at proteanTecs, said GUC has established itself as a technology leader in advanced ASIC platforms, high-performance compute IP, and complex heterogeneous integration, consistently helping customers push the limits of scale and performance. He said that by offering proteanTecs as the de facto health and performance standard across GUC's platforms, the two companies are jointly setting a new industry benchmark, where deep, in-silicon visibility becomes a built-in part of advanced designs rather than an afterthought. He added that the collaboration lets mutual customers fully realize their compute innovations with greater confidence under real-world workloads.
