Kandou AI Licenses Baya Systems' Fabric IP to Address the AI Memory Wall
Baya Systems, a provider of software-defined fabric IP for AI and high-performance computing, and Kandou AI, a developer of high-speed connectivity technology for AI infrastructure, have announced a strategic IP licensing agreement. Kandou AI has licensed Baya's WeaveIP fabric and WeaverPro software platform and is actively integrating both into its architecture and development workflow for the next generation of its connectivity platforms, aimed at addressing the memory bottleneck limiting further AI development. The collaboration also illustrates how software-defined fabric architecture and advanced connectivity can work together to tackle the data movement challenges facing next-generation AI systems.
AI model growth has significantly outpaced memory bandwidth in recent years. While compute capability has scaled roughly 60,000x over the past two decades, interconnect performance has grown only about 30x in comparison. This gap is increasingly limiting AI development, since data movement can't keep pace with compute demands.
Kandou AI's patented Copper MIMO technology, also known as Chord Signaling, is designed to help close that gap by transmitting correlated signals at...
