US Consulate in India after hosting a 4 part round table series on the subject of US-India collaboration in semiconductor tech, will come out with a white paper on this subject and share it with stake holders such as government heads in US and India.
Brenda Soya, US Consulate Public Affairs Officer said "The semiconductor sector plays a vital role in driving economic growth, technological innovation, and supply chain resilience"
With the completion of two rounds, the series to continue with upcoming meetings at Pune and Ahmedabad and conclude in the month of May 2025.
Recently when US President Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi met in US issued a US-India joint statement where one of the statement on technology collaboration related to semiconductor reads:
"The leaders announced the launch of the U.S.-India TRUST (“Transforming the Relationship Utilizing Strategic Technology”) initiative, which will catalyze government-to-government, academia and private sector collaboration to promote application of critical and emerging technologies in areas like defense, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, quantum, biotechnology, energy and space, while encouraging the use of verified technology vendors and ensuring sensitive technologies are protected."
