Broadcom showcased its broadband Edge AI portfolio, featuring a 50G PON gateway SoC, a comprehensive Wi-Fi 8 product family, and a joint 5G and Wi-Fi 8 fixed wireless access (FWA) platform solution developed with Samsung. The solutions are designed to deliver deterministic low latency, localized processing, and robust reliability for next-generation connected AI applications in smart homes and enterprises. They incorporate embedded neural processing units (NPUs) to enable devices to function as intelligent agentic orchestrators, supporting dynamic routing of compute between the edge and the cloud while performing local AI processing.
The portfolio addresses requirements for ultra-low end-to-end latency needed for applications such as conversational AI assistants. It also provides high-performance connectivity in dense urban environments with congested Wi-Fi airspace.
