Vishay announced a new 2-way Wilkinson power divider / combiner designed to increase efficiency and save space in aerospace, defense, and high frequency connectivity applications. The device operates over a frequency range of 15 GHz to 20 GHz. It provides insertion loss of less than 0.5 dB below 19 GHz in a compact surface-mount 1817 package.
The WLKN-000 features return loss of 10 dB to 15 dB. Its integrated three-port design supports both divider and combiner functionality in a single package, which reduces the number of external components required.
It offers output-to-output isolation of less than 20 dB at the center frequency and provides excellent matching characteristics across the operating band. The low insertion loss is intended to minimize power dissipation in the signal path. The device is built on thin film technology and operates over a temperature range of -55 °C to +155 °C. It is RoHS-compliant and halogen-free.

Applications listed for the WLKN-000 include automotive ADAS and radio transceivers, LEO satellites and base station terminals, 5G / 6G connectivity, drones, weapons guidance systems, payload systems, data link arrays, and phased-array radar systems. The WLKN-000 can be customized according to customer specifications for frequency band, return loss, insertion loss, case size, and additional parameters. HFSS-encrypted models are available.
Samples and production quantities of the WLKN-000 are available now, with lead times of 20 weeks.
Vishay Intertechnology manufactures discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components for the automotive, industrial, computing, consumer, telecommunications, military, aerospace, and medical markets. The company is listed on the NYSE under the ticker VSH.
