Bourns announced the SRP2008DP Series, a new line of high current shielded power inductors. The inductors are designed for high current applications requiring board-space efficiency. They feature a metal-alloy powder core and a low-profile 0.8 mm package with a 2.0 × 1.6 mm footprint.
The series provides shielded construction that contains magnetic flux to reduce radiated emissions and support board-level EMC compliance. The metal-alloy powder core offers high resistivity that suppresses eddy currents and reduces core losses at high switching frequencies. Contained flux minimizes magnetic coupling to nearby traces and components. The inductors maintain high saturation current without core collapse under load.

The SRP2008DP Series operates across a temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C. It is RoHS compliant and halogen free.
Electrical specifications include an inductance range of 0.24 μH to 4.70 μH, heating current (Irms) from 1.10 A to 3.50 A, and saturation current (Isat) from 1.60 A to 5.50 A.
The series targets DC-DC converters in portable and handheld devices, miniature consumer electronics and wearables, IoT modules, compact industrial power circuits, and height-constrained PCB-based designs requiring shielded magnetics.
The SRP2008DP Series is available now through Bourns’ authorized distribution network. Samples may be requested through Bourns Customer Service. Full specifications and ordering information are available on the Bourns website.
