u-blox announced the JODY-W6, the latest module in its JODY family for secure, high-throughput wireless connectivity in industrial and IoT environments. The JODY-W6 is a compact, host-based multiradio module built on the NXP Semiconductors IW623 chipset. It supports tri-band Wi-Fi 6E across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands with 2x2 MIMO configuration, combined with Bluetooth Dual-Mode including LE Audio and qualification against Bluetooth Core 5.4.

The module operates in temperatures from -40 °C to +85 °C and incorporates security features including NXP EdgeLock and secure boot on chip. It maintains pin compatibility with previous JODY modules and a compact footprint to support migration across technology generations. Interface options include SDIO or PCIe, with variants offering two or three antenna pins. Evaluation kits EVK-JODY-W683 and an M.2 form factor version are available to support design, testing, and integration.
The JODY-W6 targets applications in industrial automation, healthcare, network infrastructure, smart buildings, and security and surveillance systems that require secure, high-throughput, and low-latency wireless performance.
Samples of the industrial-grade JODY-W6 will be available starting early Q2 2026, with volume production scheduled for the end of Q2 2026.
