Arasan Unveils Total IP Solution for Embedded USB2 with Controller and PHY for Mobile and Automotive SoCs

Arasan Chip Systems, a provider of semiconductor IP for mobile and automotive System-on-Chips (SoCs), announced the immediate availability of its Embedded USB2 (eUSB2) IP Core, including the eUSB v2 Controller and eUSB v2 PHY IP. The eUSB2 IP is designed for SoCs operating at a 1.2V interface voltage, targeting applications in mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and various electronic segments such as automotive, enterprise, medical, and industrial sectors.

The eUSB2 IP supports USB high-speed, full-speed, and low-speed operations, along with USB 2.0 L1/L2 link power management requirements. It maintains compatibility with the existing USB 2.0 software programming model and uses the same eD+ and eD- data line configurations as USB 2.0 D+ and D-. The solution does not affect Vbus or power delivery.

Arasan offers a comprehensive suite of USB 2.0 IP products, including USB 2.0 Host, Hub, Device, OTG, DRD, eUSB, and PHY, as well as the HSIC option for chip-to-chip connections over USB. The company, which began developing USB IP with USB 1.0 in 1996, has over 25 years of experience and more than 150 USB semiconductor licensees.
