Diodes Incorporated announced the PI3EQX64904, a four-differential-channel, PAM4 linear ReDriver supporting PCIe 6.0 protocol speeds up to 64 GT/s, with backward compatibility for PCIe 5.0, 4.0, and 3.0 protocols. The device targets applications in AI data centers, workstations, 5G networking, CPU-to-network (PCIe NIC card) and CPU-to-storage (NVME) interconnects, and CPU-to-CPU interconnects in high-performance computing clusters.
The ReDriver provides linear equalization with tunable low-frequency and high-frequency zeros to enhance PAM4 signal quality for high-speed PCIe interfaces. It reduces intersymbol interference, corrects channel losses at the transmitter, and restores signal integrity at the receiver to improve the eye pattern for reliable 64GT/s PAM4 communication with low bit error rates.
The PI3EQX64904 consumes less than 5mW in PCIe L.1.2 deep standby mode, meeting Microsoft’s Modern Standby requirements. It operates on a 3.3V ±0.3V supply voltage and functions within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The device is available in a 31-contact W-LGA-31L package (6.1mm x 2.7mm) and priced at $5.00 per unit in 3,000-piece quantities.
Diodes Incorporated will showcase the ReDriver at the PCI-SIG Developers Conference at booth #11. Additional information on ReDrivers is available at https://www.diodes.com/products/connectivity/signal-integrity-redriversrepeaterssignal-conditioners/
