Murata  launched its latest innovation in air purification technology, the MHM332 type ionizer. This new addition to the MHM3 series, a DC input series, is designed to meet the growing demand for improved air quality solutions in response to heightened health and hygiene awareness.

The demand for air purifiers has increased due to a heightened focus on maintaining health and hygiene. Due to the global spread of PM 2.5 (particulate matter), there is a strong demand for improved air purifiers as well as air purifier functionalities for other home appliances.
In response, Murata has added this product to its lineup of products that efficiently generate ions at low voltages. This product has achieved an increase of approximately 1.6 times in ion amount that affects air purification functions compared with Murata's existing “MHM305 type ionizer” by newly designing the high-voltage power supply. On the other hand, ozone generation is suppressed at the same level .

This product shares the same board size, mounting position, and interface with our existing products, ensuring easy replacement if they are currently in use.

The MHM332 ionizer generates 8,000,000 ions per cubic centimeter, significantly improving air purification efficiency. It maintains a low ozone emission of 0.15 mg/h, ensuring safety and compliance with health standards. The ionizer features a compact design, sharing the same board size, mounting position, and interface as existing products, which facilitates easy replacement and integration. It operates efficiently with an input voltage of 12 VDC (10.8 to 13.2 V) and a typical input current of 55 mA. This makes it ideal for use in air purifiers and other home appliances requiring enhanced air purification capabilities

The MHM3 series ionizers from Murata offer a range of models tailored to different application needs. The MHM305 type is a basic model with moderate ion production of 5,000,000 pcs/cc and low ozone emission of 0.15 mg/h or less. The MHM306 type has similar ion production but with a higher ozone emission of 0.6 mg/h. For applications requiring higher ion output with minimal ozone, the MHM314 type generates 8,000,000 pcs/cc with an ozone emission of 0.15 mg/h or less. The MHM324 type, designed for maximum ion output, also produces 8,000,000 pcs/cc but with a higher ozone emission of 0.8 mg/h. All models operate at an input voltage of 12.0 VDC (10.8 to 13.2 V) and have varying input power requirements, ranging from 0.4 W to 1.0 W. They are suitable for use in environments with operating temperatures between -10 to 50°C (HV power supply) and -10 to 70°C (ion generator), and operating humidity levels of 20% to 80%. Each model offers unique features to enhance air purification efficiency and meet specific ozone level requirements.
