Mitsubishi makes available 6.5W RF High-Power MOSFET for commercial radios

Mitsubishi Electric has introduced RD06LUS2 MOSFET, the silicon MOSFET for RF high-power amplifiers to design commercial handheld two-way radios (walkie-talkies). Designed to enhance range and minimize power consumption, this device can meet the growing demands of the industry while leveraging the widespread adoption of 3.6V lithium-ion batteries.
Industry-Leading 6.5W Output Power: The RD06LUS2 achieves an output power of 6.5W, setting a new standard in the industry extending the communication range by up to 27%, offering enhanced performance and reliability. The optimized structure for 3.6V operation ensures improved power density, enabling superior performance compared to existing models.
High Drain Efficiency: With an industry-leading drain efficiency of 65%, the RD06LUS2 delivers reduced power consumption, resulting in extended operating time. This optimization for 3.6V operation ensures that commercial radios can operate efficiently while maximizing battery life.
Space-Saving Design: The innovative packaging of the RD06LUS2 includes two MOSFET chips, effectively reducing the footprint by 33% compared to conventional single-chip products. This space-saving design not only streamlines assembly processes but also contributes to cost savings for manufacturers.
