AR/VR display component micro LED projector from JBD is mass produced

With Apple launching its new AR VR headset Vision Pro, speed of development of semiconductors, optical components and mechanical micro assemblies and many such wearable headset related components to go up exponentially. AR/ VR glasses need ultra-fine and ultra compact optics and display technology for the market and user to accept wearble displays. A Shanghai, China based company called JBD started mass production of its new "Hummingbird" polychrome MicroLED projector. The JBD claims this Hummingbird features lightweight, ultra-compact form factor, ultra-high brightness, vivid and saturated colours and best-in-class energy efficiency. JBD said its Hummingbird stands out as the world's smallest and lightest projector, boasting a volume of 0.4cc and weighing just 1.0 gram.
