Advantech has launched the REX-52N, an ultra-rugged AI computing platform for autonomous applications in harsh industrial environments, delivering up to 248 TOPS of AI performance.
Powered by NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Industrial, the platform has a 12-core Arm Cortex-A78AE processor. It supports up to 8-channel GMSL2 camera inputs and 10Gb Ethernet connectivity for high-bandwidth, multi-source video input for sensor fusion and real-time perception. Its multi-port GMSL2 architecture can support real-time frame synchronization applications through system integration.

The REX-52N maintains full system performance from -40°C to 75°C without throttling. Its rugged design withstands 6.8 Grms vibration and 100G shock, with IP67 protection against dust and water ingress. E-Mark, ISO 7637-2 and Advantech’s proprietary vehicle power management SDK support stable power delivery in mobile environments.
Key features of the REX-52N include compliance with ISO 13766-1, ISO 7637-2, SAE J1455 and J1113; an IP67 design with 5M3 and 6.8 Grms vibration resistance and operation from -40°C to 75°C without throttling; support for up to 8 GMSL2 for real-time object detection and autonomous navigation; 6 CAN FD with SocketCAN and J1939 for in-vehicle communication; and scalable modular I/O supporting up to 8x GMSL/PoE, custom I/O, and optional RF and Automotive Ethernet modules.
The platform offers a customized rear I/O plate delivered within 60 days of requirement confirmation. Its swappable fan kit can be replaced in 20 seconds. Modular RF options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and GNSS.
